It’s all about showing off

I was working few Sundays ago at Bukit Jalil shooting for a client at a sports day. The place was filled with rich and powerful, cars that costs more than my entire 23 years of savings, sports wear that are spanking new latest model and kids with PSP running around the field.. During my time (which was not that long ago btw), to have a game boy also was freaking hard to get. I could only managed to get my hands on a Digimon and Tamagotchi. Haha. Those were the days.
(For some reason, my sisters are reliving their Tamagotchi days now)
Two days before the job, I was at the Krispy Kreme media launch at Times Square, thanks to Hannah Tan. Each of us took home 14 pieces of Krispy Kreme donuts. My family isn’t really a big fan of donuts, especially the sugar coated ones, ate only a few. In fact, the note that I wrote on the donut box to reserve a few for my friends, was quite safe. On Sunday, I still had about 7-8 donuts in the box. Ate a few for breakfast and brought one to work.
Coming back to that Sunday. I was on time (haha) and while waiting for my client to arrive, I decided to have my Krispy Kreme, on the side walk. I was having the Hershey’s Cookies and Cream Donut, in a Krispy Kreme paper bag.
I realised people started looking. Suddenly it hit me.
I was having Krispy Kreme BEFORE the shop is officially opened. People walked by, while staring at me, and the donut.
While trying not to be an immature dude shouting ‘I got Krispy Kreme!’, I slowly ate my donut while chanting out loud, in spirit of course. Hahaha.. Too bad I had only one donut in hand. Else, I would do that the whole damn day. Hahaha..
