First Time Photoshopper

I’m new to Photoshop. I don’t use Photoshop to edit photos, instead I use Photoshop Lightroom. This is my first photo edited with Photoshop. =)

I know it’s a group picture and there’s not much editing as you might think, but a first timer, I guess I did pretty good. LOL. I’m on Photoshop CS4. I like how accessible are adjustments layers now compared to before – which I was totally lost.

This is what I did:

In Lightroom: adjusted white balance, exposure for faces, further editing in Photoshop

In Photoshop: desaturated, added curves, added warming filter, crop, border.

What do you think? Any constructive comments? C & C away! :)

    Looks oversaturated in red channel, faces look a bit orange.

    Set the WB from the wall at the back, then warm it up a touch and see how it comes out.

    Looks good to me though, but I still don\’t know how to see colours like how shaolintiger do. Need to train me eye more *squints eyes*

    ST: hmmm. okay. still trying to train my eyes to the right colours..

    CWKen: Lightroom has ACR in it. It’s basically ACR with added features for editing, organising your photos. but doesn’t have full fledged capabilities of Photoshop.

    the editing looks good, desaturating the background really brings out the subjects. Skin color is not too bad :)
