Photography Tip – Improvisation

Written on February 28, 2009 by CincauHangus

If you ever find yourself forgetful and left some of your accessories at home, may it be flash diffusers or anything else, be creative. In my case I left my diffuser at home yesterday (twice already!).

All you need is a paper (the thicker it is, the better your diffuser will be), and a few rubber bands. Be creative on folding it. Some would like it squarish or even cone shaped. Finally use rubber bands to secure it on to your flash.

Warning: this improvisation technique may not work as well as your own diffuser but you have to make do with it.

Disclaimer: any improvisation technique will not work when you don’t have this following items on hand: the camera, lens, camera battery, memory card.
