Oracle VM VirtualBox hangs on installation

If you’re installing or upgrading the VM VirtualBox and you find yourself being stuck on the installation screen for a long time (even if the installer is still responsive), try turning off your active network applications, e.g. DropBox. ;)

    Thank you! This was such a rediculous issue to have to encounter. My active network application was logmein client. You’d think that Oracle would have thought to fix this issue prior to releasing their hypervisor to the public.
